EXCEL TO ORG CHART

Turn an Excel employee list into an editable org chart.

Use the reporting data your team already maintains. Vibe My Org recognizes a bounded employee table, proposes the hierarchy, and keeps every role available for human review.

A TABLE WITH REPORTING MEANING

Give each relationship a clear row and column.

Vibe My Org accepts CSV and XLSX spreadsheets. Put one person or open role on each row and use clear name, title, and manager columns instead of relying on cell color, indentation, merged cells, or visual spacing.

A manager can be matched by employee ID, email, or a unique name. Identify exactly one top-level person with a blank manager value, and include every referenced manager in the same table.

Use recognizable headers

Common employee-name, job-title, and reports-to headings can be recognized within the first ten rows. Optional IDs or work-email columns make repeated names easier to resolve.

Map the table deterministically

When the table is self-contained and unambiguous, reporting lines are mapped directly from its cells. The generated structure is still labeled for review before it is saved.

Surface unsafe assumptions

Spreadsheet formula cells are omitted and flagged for review rather than executed or treated as trusted reporting data. Missing, ambiguous, cyclic, or duplicate-root relationships require correction.

FOUR REVIEWABLE MOVES

From employee table to working organization map.

  1. 01
    Prepare one employee per row

Separate the person, role, and direct-manager reference into readable cells, with one blank manager for the top-level role.

  2. 02
    Choose CSV or XLSX

Upload one spreadsheet under the current 4 MiB source limit. CSV extraction supports up to 50 columns and up to 1,000 people in a recognized employee table.

  3. 03
    Review the mapped hierarchy

Inspect the proposed root, every direct manager, and any unresolved source value before applying the preview.

  4. 04
    Edit before you share

Rename, retitle, add, remove, or move roles in the chart editor, then decide whether to save or export the result.

THE OUTPUT STAYS EDITABLE

A clean table saves setup time. It does not replace ownership.

The preview does not silently become a company chart. You choose whether to apply it to the current draft and you can correct every person, title, and reporting line afterward.

Use only employee information you are authorized to process, and remove details that should not appear in a shared link or exported file.

PUT THE GUIDE TO WORK
